VDA Telkonet technology for tailor-made comfort

Nestled within the iconic Dubai Mall, Kempinski Central Avenue Dubai offers an elegant stay in a stylish urban atmosphere. This five-star sanctuary offers 245 meticulously designed rooms and suites, each overseeing Dubai’s skyline, including the Burj Khalifa.

Upon entering, guests are greeted by a fusion of modern design and Arabic influences, creating a serene yet sophisticated atmosphere. The accommodation is thoughtfully appointed, featuring plush furnishings, smart in-room controls, and private balconies that serve as personal observatories of the city.

Smart comfort, seamless experience
Kempinski Central Avenue is equipped with 245 rooms installed with VDA’s Guest Room Management System (GRMS), integrated with third-party applications via VDA’s Web API for advanced guest room control.
Each room is equipped with customized glass panels from VDA’s Vitrum collection, offering lighting control and scene settings for both productivity and relaxation. With these features, essential functions such as lighting, temperature, and ambiance are optimized through an elegant and intuitive interface.

At this property, the VDA GRMS is integrated with a third-party mobile app via API, allowing guests to control lights, HVAC, and curtains directly from their smartphones—offering both luxury and convenience.

The system also has an enhanced interface with Opera PMS, which enables features like pre-cooling the guest room before arrival, activating a welcome scene, and setting the room to comfort mode when occupied. When the room is unsold, the PMS informs the VDA controller, which then adjusts HVAC and lighting settings to maximize energy savings.

Additionally, there is a room-level wired interface with a third-party conventional access control system. This allows communication between VDA’s in-room panels and the corridor panel, enabling features like doorbell signals, and service requests such as “Make Up My Room” and “Do Not Disturb.”

From the operational side, GRMS includes a dashboard with real-time data on room occupancy, temperature, energy usage, and system status. The platform not only offers quick monitoring capabilities but also directly lowers energy usage, saving significantly more carbon emissions than hotels without energy management technology.
