My stay at Hotel San Canzian, located in the heart of Istria, Croatia, was truly unforgettable. Surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, and forests, this restored ancient village offers a unique experience of peace and tranquility, far from the chaos of the city. Just a few kilometers from the sea, the hotel provides guests with spectacular views of the coastline and a complete immersion in the unspoiled nature of the Istrian countryside. This blend of rural serenity and coastal proximity made the stay especially relaxing and rejuvenating.
“An authentic and conscious experience”
One of the aspects I truly appreciated during my stay at San Canzian was its commitment to sustainability. The hotel promotes the use of “zero-kilometer” ingredients, serving products in its restaurants that come from local farms; this reduces the environmental impact of transportation and supports the local economy. The hotel’s own farm also produces lavender and olive oil, giving guests the opportunity to learn about and participate in the process during their stay.
In the rooms, Adria Electronic’s Smart Switches allow for access management through a card inserted into a dedicated holder to activate the room’s electricity. I found this attention to sustainability to be a true value-added feature that made the experience even more authentic and mindful.
