InnovAction Day 2025
A day to shape the future, starting from ideas
On July 30, we will open the doors of our headquarters to host a special moment: InnovAction Day, a full day dedicated to innovation, people and the ability to imagine what comes next.
The event stems from the collaboration between VDA Telkonet and the University of Trento, involving international students from the Computer Sciences and Business Innovation programs. The purpose is to work on real-world challenges based on current market needs and future technology opportunities.
Over the past months, we’ve walked side by side with the students, blending structure with creativity, precision with experimentation. They developed prototypes and business plans with fresh eyes and bold thinking. We shared our expertise, mentoring them throughout the journey and embracing new perspectives along the way.
On July 30, we’ll present the outcomes of this collaboration, together with our CEO, Piercarlo Gramaglia and Professor Marco Formentini, who guided the project from the beginning. But more importantly, we’ll take time to reflect on a key question: what does innovation truly mean?

2025: the courage to innovate
At VDA Telkonet, each year we choose a guiding value that shapes how we work and how we grow. In 2023, our focus was on sustainability. In 2024, inclusiveness took center stage.
This year, we’ve chosen to focus on courage.
Courage to rethink what works. Courage to explore different perspectives, to listen, to imagine. True innovation begins when people step out of their comfort zones and start building something that wasn’t there before. That’s what we aim to nurture across the company and beyond.
COLLABORATION
A shared innovation culture
This mindset led to the creation of Innovation Boost, our internal roadmap that fosters ideas and encourages a cross-functional approach to innovation. Every employee is invited to contribute, work in teams, receive mentoring, and collaborate across departments. The goal is to generate not only new products, but also smarter processes, fresh business models, and better ways of working.
The project with the University of Trento reflects this spirit perfectly. A successful example of cross-functional collaboration, where students and professionals came together, challenging the status quo and creating real value.
