The new Group has installed 1 million smart room worldwide in 7k properties in more than 50 countries.
The Group’s intent is to establish a culture of environmental responsibility and awareness to create a better future for the people of today and tomorrow.

Technology and Sustainability
With 1 million of smart room installed, VDA Telkonet has already saved 15 million trees and 330mln Carbon Dioxide.
Energy management system and Guest Room Management System technologies can save up to 40 percent of energy consumption, which is why it is critical for accommodations to equip themselves with occupancy-based automation technologies.

We also know that sustainability is more than a concept, but an essential way of thinking and acting in our lives in a human, environmental, and digital way. For this reason, we’re thrilled to announce that we launched a new corporate project called “Let’s Bloom”, a chance for every one of us to grow, flourish, and sparkle as human beings.
The project aims to identify interdepartmental projects to improve operational, energy, and functional efficiency.
Thanks to the eight passionate Ambassadors and six enthusiast Sparks who applied and who’ll be in charge of focusing on the projects and helping to bring them to life, we as a company will have the opportunity to grow together and create a new, responsible, and conscious way of thinking and living our everyday lives, respecting our environment.
The Treedom’s Project
As leader we have a responsibility to meet the UN climate actions requests – as called for in the Paris agreement – with emissions need to be reduced by 45% by 2030 and reach net zero by 2050.
With 1 million smart room installed, the VDA Telkonet technology saved 15 million trees, 330 million kg of carbon dioxide (carbon dioxide-CO2) and 375 million liters of oxygen thanks to the technology installed.
But the Group’s involvement in achieving UN climate goals wants to be even more tangible. Hence the decision to start the VDA Telkonet forest that will absorb: 18.75 t* of CO₂. The VDA Telkonet forest is our commitment to the future and in our plan in the next 3 years we’re going to plant 1300 trees of Mangrovia Rossa, Caffè, Chicozapote, Limone, Cacao, Banano, Tajib, in South America.
Considering that 300 liters of oxygen per person per day is needed to keep the person healthy, with the VDA Telkonet forest we are going to make tangible our approach people-centric that we put at the center of our philosophy and vision.
