From the guest perspective, instead, VDA’s Guest Room Management System is a simple to use, set of room environment management tools that allows a hotel to provide increased guest satisfaction.

With the card integrated access control, the guest presents a valid key at the reader on the door, which subsequently transfers information to VDA’s GRMS controller through their server. Once access into the room is achieved, all of the assigned in-room lights, the air-conditioning, and curtains continue to create a courtesy scenario as programmed by the operator from the server.

VDA controller performs welcome scenarios based on whether the entrance is by a guest or by hotel staff, and also the occupancy status of the room. Through the integration with the Property Management System (PMS), the system presents real time information to the VDA software on the reception/administration PC, notifying of various in-room occurrences, such as the guest’s presence, “Do Not Disturb” and “Make Up Room” status. This information will enable employees to react in a more efficient manner.

Inside the room, the guest controls the lighting, climate, curtains and thermostat through the Vitrum smart switches, an icon of high Italian design in LED-backlit glass that creates a stimulating tactile perception and a high-profile sensory impact. These switches are also positioned on the sides of the headboard to ensure maximum convenience and the most advanced and intuitive experience.
