Borghese Contemporary Hotel

The history of Borghese Contemporary Hotel dates back to the seventeenth century, when during the construction of the original nucleus of Palazzo Borghese in Rome the future Pope Camillo Borghese also wanted to acquire part of the surrounding spaces to create a real “Borghese district” in the heart of the eternal city, a few steps from the Spanish Square and Via Condotti, symbolizing the power of the family. Among the buildings acquired with the occasion, right in front of the main facade of Palazzo Borghese, we also find the elegant building that now houses the Borghese Contemporary Hotel which today is a luxury hotel, part of the Mascagni Collection. It combines inside the monumentality and classicism of ancient Rome, blending perfectly with the space that surrounds it.

Today it offers guests a space of timeless elegance, with design rooms and suites where VDA Telkonet solutions for hotel automation have been installed, to maximize the comfort of those who stay and make efficient the experience of those who live in the environment every day.

For the control of 24 rooms of Borghese Contemporary Hotel, the VDA Hotel Automation System has been installed, which allows the management of lighting scenarios, temperature and access. The Room Management System provides the Hotel with intelligent support for energy saving and optimization of the guest and staff experience, ensuring full control of room features through Vitrum controllers.

The system provides the history of the entrances and exits from the rooms of the hotel and notifies of any doors not closed properly; it monitors the opening of the windows that, if left open, automatically determine the shutdown of the air conditioning; communicates information to facilitate the work of staff and responds quickly to any requests from customers (such as Do Not Disturb and Make Up Room).

Through the use of Vitrum push-buttons, the guest can easily manage the configuration of lighting, temperature and underfloor heating scenarios of the room. The smart switches of the Italian high-design glass collection are positioned outside the room, on the walls at the entrance and next to the headboard of the bed, presenting a blue LED lighting with custom iconography.

Vitrum consoles allow guests to interact with the room in an intuitive and practical way, providing a tactile, visual, and acoustic experience.

To complete the Room Management System, VDA Interactive TV solutions have been installed to ensure guests the best services and entertainment they prefer.

With the ONAIR PowerTV system, the guest is welcomed in rooms with a customized graphical interface and rich information about hotel and city. Thanks to IPTV, you can access satellite and TV channels that are distributed via ethernet cable. This type of technology allows you to manage channels dynamically, depending on the customer’s language or the type of transmission.

Thanks to VDA Casting, the In-Room Entertainment solution, the guest can stream all of their preferred content from the TV, offering an even more personalized entertainment experience. To do this, all they have to do is connect to Wi-Fi, scan the QR code, and start broadcasting.
